How To Transform Your Handbag

Today, My sweet husband asked me what I'd like for Christmas, and the number one item on my list is a new black handbag.  While I'm VERY thrifty with the majority of my purchases, I do tend to prefer a high quality leather handbag that will last for years to come.

Now, I'm not spending thousands on Gucci or Louis Vuitton (but.. hey girl, I'm not judging if you do! They're gorgeous!)  I do like brands like Michael Kors, Coach and Kate Spade.

For example, I carry a tote similar to this Michael Kors bag to my day job every single day and have done so for over two years.  It carries my work laptop, personal laptop, cell phones, wallet, etc. and has held up beautifully.

Typically, these higher end bags are what I'll ask for as my "big gift" for Christmas and I ONLY go for the ones that are on sale or at outlet stores.  Yes, I'm that person that tells my family exactly what I want for Christmas and where they can find it for the best price.  Type A, much?

Today, as I looked online for a new bag, I came across something that is MUCH less expensive than a new bag but can transform my trusty old MK tote into something fresh and new.

Enter... Bag Charms

Ok. Ok.  In the 90's I was all about attaching a keychain to my backpack as I headed off to school, but it appears as though some of my favorite brands have really taken this look up a notch.

I'll personally be adding the black Michael Kors tassel charm to my Christmas list!
